ROBINSONS PLACE TAGUM now opens





DAVAO CITY, Davao
— Robinsons Place Tagum the new hippest place in Tagum City has formally opened today. It is the 42nd Robinsons mall in the Philippines and the largest in Mindanao. This is the first Robinsons Place in Davao region.

Present in the inauguration  were Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. Presidient & Chief Operating Officer Ms. Robina Y. Gokongwei-Pe, Robinsons Mall Officers, and Maja Salvador.  With local official of Tagum City and Davao del Norte, Tagum City Mayor Allan L. Rellon welcomed the Robinsons Place Tagum and gave a short message, also present in the event were Davao del Norte Governor Rodolfo Del Rosario and his son Antonio Del Rosario.

Robinsons Place Tagum is situated in Brgy. Visayan Village Tagum, Davao Del Norte’s capital. A total of 34,439 sqm in leasable spaces will be offered to over 300 tenants, or about 60% of the mall’s gross floor area of 65,800 sqm. The four-level full service mall being developed in Tagum with anchor tenants Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Appliances, Robinsons Bank, Handyman, Toys R Us, Robinsons Movieworld, Daiso and Quantum Amusement. - MB.com.ph





Jonathan O. Gan Associates designed the four-floor complex to draw attention to the provincial mood, local culture and rich heritage of Tagum.  The city serves as the province’s business gateway and functions as convergence area for developments and processing centers.  A study conducted in 2007 by the premier business school Asian Institute of Management cited Tagum as one of the top seven most viable mid-sized cities to do business in the Philippines.
